Public Engagement

Members of the CIES Board are available to speak to Canadian audiences about our work in India. We welcome opportunities to share information about our experience working with Guru Nanak Trust and the challenges and rewards of being involved in an ongoing international partnership. CIES produces a newsletter and an annual report to keep supporters informed about its partnership activities.

CIES holds an annual donor appreciation dinner in November. This public event, featuring entertainment and an update on our work, is always well attended and is lively gathering of friends and supporters.

Since launching the Primary Health Care Project in 2001, we have given a number of presentations to inform groups about the project’s goals, strategies, and progress. Last year, we gave presentations to the Global Health Interest Group of the Registered Nurses Association of British Columbia and to three classes of nursing students at Kwantlen University College and University of Victoria.

To arrange a presentation or media interview about CIES, please contact Barj Dhahan.

For information on CIES’s Primary Health Care Project, please contact Nora Whyte.
